Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers forming strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.
With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this total royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an constant fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's very easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems very similar to a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be much too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Fans were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a show, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
