Both Deceased Students Named in the Ivy League School Shooting as Authorities Persist in Manhunt for Gunman.

Both young individuals who were killed in Saturday’s violent attack in Providence had tributes paid to them on Monday – as a manhunt for their assailant carried on following the freeing by local law enforcement of the only individual detained in connection in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was described as “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, per the Advent Cathedral in Birmingham, which paid tribute to her at a service on Sunday.

Cook was the vice-presidency of Brown’s chapter of the campus GOP group, as the club stated. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also posted sympathies publicly, remarking: “There are no words. Thinking of her family and friends, especially her parents.”

An International Student

The other deceased individual was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, an Uzbek national in his initial year at the prestigious university, according to relatives.

His name was officially acknowledged by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He was incredibly kind, funny, and smart. He had big dreams of entering the field of neurosurgery and assisting patients,” his sibling Samira said in a online post.

Details of the Attack

Nine other people were wounded in the violent event in the school of engineering of Brown’s university in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Authorities said late Sunday that a 24-year-old male detained in a police operation at a Hampton Inn about 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was released from custody.

“We have a murderer out there,” said Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

He added, “Occasionally a probe goes down a path, and then you need to change course and go in another, and that is the current situation over the last 24 hours or so.”

Community Anxiety

Providence’s mayor, Brett Smiley, acknowledged: “We know that this is likely to cause fresh anxiety for our community”.

The shooter discharged a weapon inside a room in the engineering building on over the weekend, shooting over four dozen bullets from a handgun, a authority informed the news agency.

Police that raided the lodging seized a pair of pistols and two loaded 30-round magazines when the individual was detained, as was reported.

The Wounded Victims
