2025's Top Scary Movie Makes a Comeback to IMAX Just in Time for October Festivities
Arriving just as the Halloween season begins, a standout among the most acclaimed scary movies in recent memory is set for a limited comeback to cinemas, now only in IMAX format.
IMAX Limited Screening Details
The feature titled Sinners, that's the work of filmmaker Ryan Coogler, will be shown again in certain IMAX cinemas beginning October 30, and will a one-week run through the 5th of November.
If you watched Sinners in its original cinema run, you already know how great incredible possibility this represents for one more screening on a large format.
But, in case your first viewing wasn’t in IMAX, you have the opportunity to make up for it, since the movie appears truly spectacular when shown on a IMAX screen.
Given how the original theatrical run ended early in terms of IMAX presentations, as a result of a competing movie occupying those screens soon after launch, this might even be the very first chance to see the film on a giant screen.
Skipped This Horror Hit? This Is the Time!
On the other hand, maybe you haven’t seen this movie so far. Under those circumstances, now is the moment to fix your life.
You won't find a better time of year for a eerie feature, particularly a film that elevates horror.
Happily, Coogler brings considerable experience doing just that, having done comparable work in fighting movies plus Marvel adaptations.
What he created is a gripping but also deeply terrifying tale featuring violence, emotional family struggles, heartbreak, vampires, and Michael B. Jordan playing a double part as sibling characters known as Stack and Smoke.
Director's Reflections Regarding Michael B. Jordan
We asked Michael B. Jordan to do this difficult thing in terms of skill, portraying two different individuals, but it also was a performance that we needed to include the context that we had previously to make it work.
Watching him recognized by his peers as well as others in Hollywood, I believe that would mean a lot to him.
Future Projects in Coogler's Pipeline
Moving forward, it appears that Sinners certainly gave the director the drive to persist in exploring horror genres.
The director has earlier announced a new X-Files in production.
Reflecting on additional factors drives his decision to reboot the beloved series, he shared:
Just as with my connection to Rocky through my dad, The X-Files is one of those things to my mom.
My mother is everything to me — she’s actually in attendance today — so this is an important endeavor personally.
My goal is to do justice by her and the fans. My mother has seen part of the material I created for it. She is fired up.
Final Chance to See This Horror Gem
It's unclear exactly when Coogler’s take of the sci-fi show will see its release.
However, viewers receive a final opportunity to experience his absolutely amazing film during its return to IMAX starting the 30th.
